Daniel Hernandez

August 4, 1942June 6, 2020

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Daniel Hernandez, age 77, of El Paso, Texas on Saturday, June 6, 2020. Daniel was born in Mexico to Daniel and Maria Hernandez on August 4, 1942.

He gently made a home alongside his Beloved wife Felicitas, son Joshua E. Hernandez, and for all their family and friends. He loved being a Algebra teacher at Austin High School and did so for 18 years. He nurtured young minds and his students never forgot him. His attention to the future of his students was very important to him. His incredible work ethic made him the pillar of strength, the mentor to our young, and the soul of our family. He will truly be missed but will live forever in our hearts with every smile, laughter, and tear shared.

Daniel is survived by wife; Felicitas and his sons; Joshua, Daniel, and Luis and by his four grandchildren and leaves his sister Maria de los Angeles Baca.

Daniel reunites with his parents Daniel Hernandez and Maria Cera Ramirez and with the many loved ones that proceeded him in death. He now sits alongside his heavenly father.

Into your arms, O God, we humbly entrust a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In this life, you embraced him with your tender love. Deliver him now from every evil and bid him enter eternal rest. The old order has passed away. Welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping, nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with Your Son and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hillcrestfhwest.com for the Hernandez family.

My sweet Uncle Daniel. I will always keep you in my heart. You were a kind and gentle person who always made me feel important and loved. As a child you took the time to tutor me in math and you always showed nothing but patience. I will miss you so much and will always remember you with great love and affection. With Love, your neice Roxanne Baca Morales

Daniel was a great man. He served his country in the military and continued to serve as a mentor of children. We enjoyed having him around because we shared an interest and had a lot of laughs along with my suegro Andres Baca.
Daniel is now with his maker and has no pain. He is around loved ones that he has not seen in over one day and awaits the arrival of his other loved ones.
My condolences to his family and may God give them the strength to get through this.
