Darlene Montes

Montes, Darlene Irma, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed suddenly and peacefully on December 20, 2014. She was born October 30, 1951 in El Paso, Texas to Armando P. and Inez D. Montes. Darlene was known by her family and friends for her strong faith, generosity, and forgiving nature. She was also a very thoughtful and caring person, which showed during her time as a child care provider and later as a LVN caring for the elderly. She was preceded in death by her father Armando P. Montes. Darlene is survived by her pride and joy, her only daughter: Michelle Andrea Pedroza; her mother Inez D. Montes; sisters, Peggy Ann Carrillo (John), Sandy Bond, and Evelyn Jimenez; and brothers, Armando Montes, Jr. and Richard C. Montes. Pallbearers will be Armando Montes, Jr., Richard C. Montes, Chris Pedroza, Christopher Pedroza, John Carrillo, and Andrew Bond. Visitation will be Monday, December 29, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church 1050 N. Clark Dr. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery. Service under the directions of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME 1060 CAROLINA 598-3332.
