
David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy for four years. Following his military service, he dedicated more than 30 years of his life to Homeland Security, where he continue his commitment to protecting and serving others. His strong work ethic, reliability, and sense of duty earned the respect of colleagues and all who had privilege of knowing him.
Beyond his career, David found great joy in his hobbies and passions. He was avid enthusiast of vintage automobiles and took immense pride in owning two classic cars of his own. He loved attending car shows, sharing stories with fellow enthusiasts, and admiring the craftsmanship and history behind each vehicle
David was known as someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand. While he was not always the most affectionate, those closest to him understood the many ways he expressed his love and care. Whether through his actions, his support during difficult times, or simply showing up when he was needed most, David demonstrated his devotion to family and friends in a way that was uniquely his own.
He enjoyed life's simple pleasures, including grilling for family and friends, a skill for which he became known as a true master. Gatherings around his grill created countless memories that will be cherished for years to come. He also enjoyed relaxing with his Marlboro 100 and his Dos Equis.
His family takes comfort in knowing that his legacy of service, kindness, and quiet devotion will continue to live on through whose lives he blessed.
David is survived by his wife Alicia Chacon; his son Joshua; his granddaughter Miriam (Mimi); his siblings Jimmy, Eddie, and Lilia.
