David was born in October 31st, 1958 and grew up in Buffalo, NY. At the age of 18 he
joined the US Army where he served for 3 years. While in the Army, he was stationed in
El Paso, TX where he met his lovely wife Juana. While they did not speak the same
language, their love and respect for each other broke through those barriers and gave
them three lovely children and 43 years of marriage.
David joined the El Paso Police Department in 1981 where he had a successful career of 24 years. In 2005, he joined the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission where he spent 12 years and retired with
the title of Sergeant. David was a kind and loving husband and an exemplary father.
Aside from spending quality time with his family and friends, David had a passion for
traveling, attending sporting events and caring for his beloved pets.
David is survived by his beautiful wife of 43 years, Juana Ianni, his son Jose Ianni,
daughter Monica Ianni, his brother Joe Ianni, his brother- in-law, Jesse Mora, daughterin-law Erandy, his grandchildren, Laura, Tito, Theresa, Isaac, Alexis, David, Damian,
Jaime Jr, Angel, Miguel, Aalliyah, Monique, Ricky and Anthony, and his four greatgrandchildren, Laila, Zooey, Emily and Charles. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Emely Ianni, granddaughter, Corina Ianni, and his parents.
Funeral Services for David will be held at Martin Funeral Home – East on Thursday,
June 16th at 9:00 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Restlawn
Memorial Park at 12:30 pm.
