David Rodriguez Jr.

Our beloved father, David Rodriguez Salas, passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2024, at the age of 65. We take comfort in believing he felt the need to be home with his loved ones after spending four days in the hospital. David was born in Ciudad Juarez and spent most of his childhood there. David met his wife in a warehouse back in 1978 then later married on December 26, 1981. Their love story is a testament to the strength of family and partnership. In his twenties he moved to El Paso to begin a life centered around his passion for trucking. As a truck driver, he worked locally for many years, but he also loved to travel. David was a man of great knowledge and wisdom, and he never hesitated to share his stories and lessons with those around him. He had a unique way of showing his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. Whether through his hard work or the moments we spent traveling with him in his truck, David's dedication to his family was unwavering. He taught us independence and the value of hard work, but most of all, he taught us by example- showing us the kind of people we should strive to be. He will be deeply missed but will remain forever in our hearts as a guiding light of love, wisdom, and resilience.

A visitation for David will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd, El Paso, TX 79927. A graveside service will occur Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
