David Garland Wells

David Garland Wells, 58, passed away on June 6, 2015. David was native to El Paso and felt a great love for the city he called home. He was alumni of UTEP, where he obtained his Bachelor’s in Art. Mr. Wells taught Art at Montwood High School for the last 16 years. He really enjoyed watching his students grow and share in his enthusiasm for art. Prior to teaching, he worked at Allen Bradley for many years as a mechanic where he forged lasting friendships. He was an avid science-fiction enthusiast while he was not working on his hot rod. He dreamt of the day when he would drive it around town and on the two-lane blacktop. Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his mother Beatrice Wells, father Edward Wells, sister Sharon Pullen and nephew Kenny Pullen. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Wells Covey and Ashley Wells, son-in-law Bryan Covey and brother Michael Wells. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Funeraria del Angel Martin East, with scripture service at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 9:00am at St. Pius Catholic Church. Interment private. Services entrusted to F.D.A.
