Delfina Talavera

“Fina” was the daughter of Benjamin and Francisca Talavera; sister of Maria Luisa Talavera de Alvidrez (deceased), Elva Talavera de Lucero, Rodrigo Talavera (deceased) and Rosa Elena Talavera de Garcia. She was the dedicated and loving mother of three children: Maria Guadalupe Ojeda de Gonzalez (Ignacio, deceased), Luis Manuel Ojeda Talavera (deceased), and Monica Hajjar (Naji, deceased). Fina was a long time resident of El Paso, a pioneer who brought her family to the United States from Mexico. She was a devoted employee at the University of Texas at El Paso for twenty years, where her sense of humor and love for tidiness were greatly appreciated by her supervisors, co-workers and students. Fina spent her last years at The Good Samaritan Retirement Center where she made good friends and appreciated her dedicated caretakers. She will be missed and remembered by her friends and family, including: grandchildren Ignacio (Natalie) and Monica Gonzalez; Nadim Hajjar, Linda Nassar (Eddie), and Ted Hajjar; and her great-grandchildren Mia Victoria and Ava Sophia Gonzalez, and Edward Nassar.
