While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice knowing that Delia Juarez Davila has been welcomed into the eternal presence of Jesus Christ, whom she faithfully served throughout her life. Delia passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, in El Paso, Texas, surrounded by her family.
Delia was born on February 10, 1950, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, at the home of her parents, Pedro and Teresa Juarez. Her older siblings played and laughed outside when the sudden cry of newborn Delia was heard. She was received with love and joy. Delia grew up and lived in El Paso, Texas, throughout her adult life. She attended Hart Elementary School and Bowie High School and ultimately graduated from El Paso Evening School on May 27, 1969.
Delia then worked for several garment manufacturers in El Paso, including Farah, Hicks-Ponder, Billy the Kid, Wrangler, and Sahara. She worked in quality control and held positions ranging from Quality Inspector to Head Quality Control Supervisor, where she refined her already skilled attention to detail. She had a keen eye and could notice even the tiniest imperfection. She always demanded and expected excellence.
Delia also had many entrepreneurial endeavors, from selling Home Interiors, Tupperware to Avon. She was an excellent salesperson. In 2002, she came up with the brilliant plan to handcraft floral bouquets and gift baskets to help fund her daughter’s final year at UTEP. It was a huge success, and her business “Vivan Las Flores” was born. During the Valentine’s season, she created and sold her floral arrangements at her kiosk in Cielo Vista Mall until she retired in 2019..
In her spiritual life, Delia received Jesus Christ into her heart as her Lord and Savior and was baptized on August 6, 1974. From that time forward, she devoted her time and energy to every church she attended. As a young woman, she was very active in her church’s youth organizations. Later in life, she served in the women’s auxiliary groups, participated in church construction projects at various local churches and served as the General Treasurer for the construction of Templo Betania in Northeast El Paso.
Having a musical family, Delia was a constant source of support, both by promoting and encouraging her family and being their biggest fan. Later in life, Delia loved listening to “Church Coritos,” and her home was filled—sometimes a little too loudly—with those beautiful hymns from the past.
Delia was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Teresa Juarez. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Loren Ramirez (Abram Ramirez) and Elizabeth Guernsey (John Roth Guernsey); her cherished granddaughter, Liana Bella Ramirez, who was her pride and joy; and her four siblings, Alfredo Juarez, Esther J. Cadena, Benito Juarez, and Pedro Juarez Jr; their spouses; and her nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She will also be remembered by her grand-doggies, whom she loved and spoiled by singing little jingles to them and secretly feeding them special treats under the table.
Her love, wisdom, and strength left an unforgettable mark on all the lives she touched. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her resilience, and her profound faith in God. Her legacy of love, faith, and service to God will forever remain in our hearts.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn located at 8817 Dyer St., El Paso, TX 79904.
