RUBIO Delia "Kinner" Rubio, surrounded by family, peacefully passed away on April 8, 2011 from her short battle with kidney cancer. She is preceded in death by her father Fidel Sr., brother Fernando and baby sister Emma Ortiz. She is survived by her mother Delfina Ortiz, brothers Roberto (Elvira) and Fidel Ortiz, sister Del Chaffino, husband of 46 years, Juan "Art" Rubio, children David (Susana), Steven (Allison) Annette and Valerie (Mannie) Rubio, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. Kinner was born and raised in El Paso, Texas on December 19, 1941; she was a 1960 graduate of Jefferson High School; married in 1964 and became a military wife. Kinner was the rock of the Rubio family, a very strong woman with a big heart. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. We would like to thank Dr. Jesus Gomez for caring for her, Envision Hospice for the comfort they provided, and her dear friend Evelia Ibarra for always being by her side. Just Because…we love you G.G. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 5-9 pm at FDA Kaster-Maxon & Futrell F.H. with a rosary at 7:00 pm., 8817 Dyer St. 915 751-1287. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 12:15 pm at Christ the Savior Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
