Dianna Van Tassell

With heavy hearts we share the news of the passing of Dianna Sharp Van Tassell, 68, of Anthony Texas. Dianna passed away on Saturday July 26, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born on December 9, 1956 to Stanley and Mary Sharp. She was a devoted mother to Jennifer and Matthew Van Tassell and a fun grandma to Madisyn Guerrero. Dianna attended Canutillo ISD and graduated in 1974. She spent 35 years driving a bus for boone Transportation. Her biggest love besides the kids was transporting the Special olympians to their competitions. Dianna Enjoyed bingo and playing Candy Crush Saga. She had an extreme love for Dr. Pepper. Her humor and wit were second to none. She was a simple person who put others' needs before hers, including many stray animals that she took in. Dianna is survived by her two children Jennifer Van Tassell (Juan Guerrero) and Matthew Van Tassell. One granddaughter, Madisyn Guerrero. Three sisters Donna Sharp, Denise Wurm (Tony), Debbie Davis (Sal Gonzalez). Many nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. An uncle, Donald Vigerust of Anthony and Aunt Jeannine Vigerust of Las cruces and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Stanley and Mary Sharp. Her sons Michael Van Tassell and baby Van Tassell. Her services will be entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest West Funeral home on 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso TX 79932. Viewing will take place on Thursday July 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with burial taking place in Anthony community cemetery on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will include Tony Wurm, Salvador Gonzalez, Christopher Wurm, Sean Wurm, Ty Davis, and Ryan Wurm.
