I was the Physical Education Coach when she was Principal of St. Raphael School.  She gave me an opportunity to work there and I learned alot from her.  She was an AWESOME lady!!

I was not fortunate to have Mrs. Wiehe as a teacher, she became principal just as I was entering 1st grade, but I was fortunate to have her as a principal, as well as my daughter. St. Raphael is a family and Mrs. Wiehe was the mother, always there for her kids. She will be truly missed.

I was in Mrs. Wiehe's 1978 Kindergarten class. What is most amazing is that one day when I was in college at UTEP she stopped me in a parking lot. She remembered me! I couldn't believe it. She was an amazing woman - I remember her as being very kind.

I had the great honor of knowing and loving Mrs. Wiehe since my brother Chris Regan was her son in law. She treated my two daughters and myself as if we were her dear family.  My two daughters called her Grandma Liz since she treated them like they were. She never forgot their Birthdays, Christmas , and even helped to celebrate the birth of my Grandson Ryan. She will always be in our hearts and prayers. We will miss you and we will always love you.

Liz was a beautiful, kind person, who more than anyone, encouraged me throughout my years at St. Raphael.  I will always remember her with love and gratitude.  She embodied the Christian virtues she lovingly bestowed on her students.  Our condolences to her beloved family.

Mrs Wiehe was an influence in my life as a kindergartner thru 8th grade,high school and beyond. She was a very strong woman who cared deeply for St Raphaels. She would always start the day off with," good morning teachers and students".Everyone who walked through the halls of the school will certainly notice a piece missing. When I used to live in El Paso I went to St. Raphael... During that time she was the principal... The best one I've ever had actually. She was the nicest person there. You can really ask anyone... My deepest condolences to her family and friends... She will always be in our hearts...

Words alone cannot express the sadness our family feels at the news of Ms. Wiehe's passing.  We, like thousands of people who have had the pleasure of being a part of the St. Raphael "family" over the years, had a real spiritual and loving bond with Ms. Wiehe, and will miss her smile, her gracious greeting, and familiar hug known so well to many. Mrs. Wiehe, you were a fabulous teacher, (even if I didn't realize it at the time.)  I was your student almost 30 yrs ago.  You didn't give an inch, and I thank you for it!  You are an inspiration to new teachers.  I wish that new teachers, from everywhere, had been able to follow your lead.  That you became principal of St. Raphael's is testament enough to your devotion and commitment to children and their learning.  You will be, greatly, missed.

I was honored to be hired and work for Liz Wiehe coaching sports at St. Raphael's for many years in the 90s. She was kind, supportive, and a great leader. I am honored to have known her. My best to her children, your mother will be in my memories forever.

As a member of the second graduating class, I attended St. Raphael's in it's early years. Mrs. Wiehe was there as a kind and loving 1st grade teacher and I grew up with her. I remembered her fondly over the years as part of my childhood and beloved school. I know she has been there for hundreds of children since and she will be dearly missed.

Elizabeth Wiehe was one of the best mentors I had.  When I taught at St. Raphael she was always there with an encouraging word or helpful suggestion to help me be a better teacher.  My sincere condolences to her family.

A woman of faith and abundant kindness who wouldn't hesitate to offer you help in time of need. I was very fortunate to work under her leadership as a teacher's aide and substitute and who later obtained a career in teaching because she gave me an opportunity to envision what a beautiful and rewarding profession teaching can be. She was also an inspiration to my children who went to St. Raphael from K-8 and who are wonderful individuals because of the great example and strong foundation they received at St. Raphael. Liz Wiehe was a woman who always gave someone a chance.  Someone who always had a smile on her face when she greeted you.  I have very fond memories of her from when I worked at the school in the early 90's.  Rest in peace, my friend.

Mrs. Wiehe was more than our principal.  She was a mentor who always took the time to know the students.  I can remember how she seemed to know the name of every student and each of their hobbies and passions.  She will be greatly missed but she is now in the Kingdom of our Lord in peace.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to Mrs. Wiehe's family, especially to Christopher Frasier, whom she loved dearly.  We will miss you Mrs. Wiehe.  You always had a good heart, a smile for everyone, and always there for your kids at St. Raphael.  God bless the family.

A Principal is so much more to students and faculty than just an administrator. If you don't think so then you have never met Elizabeth Wiehe.
