After a hard-fought battle with aggressive cancer, Eloy Salgado passed away on March 29 while in UMC at the age of 59 with his wife by his side. Eloy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Raquel and their 4 sons, Eloy Jr, Victor, Joseph and Benjamin. He is also survived by Eloy Jr’s wife, Andrea Flores and their daughters Shauna, Evalyn, Emily and Julie, Victor’s wife, Crystal Aguilar and their children Ethan, Aria and Ace. He is also survived by his loving and caring parents Ismael and Hilda Salgado his brothers Isamel, Xavier and sister Belinda.amd his extended family of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and many friends. Eloy loved Star Trek, dancing and listening to music. Eloy loved the space era and always said we will become stars when we leave this earth so I look for his shining star every night until we meet again in our galaxy. His departure was just in time for him to make his spiritual appearance to every Houston Astro’s spring season, Dallas Cowboys and Utep Miner basketball games. He loved working as a HVAC technician for Texas Military Department in Ft Bliss for the past 11 years. He was also a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. His funeral service will be on Wednesday April 21st at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N Carolina family will start receiving guest at 9am with service following from 10:30am-12:30pm. A Celebration of life service will be held after the services and will be escorted to Saint Marks Catholic Church on 11700 Hills, officiated by Monsignor Arturo Banuelos from 1pm-2pm.
