She was born on May 20, 1939, in Brilliant, New Mexico, to Max and Celia Trujillo (Ortiz).
Elsie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Raffel. She is survived by her son, Mark Raffel; daughter, Camelyn Raffel; grandchildren, Kaela Raffel and Andrew Lucas; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Lucas and Aubree Woods.
A devoted member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Elsie was a retired special needs teacher who touched many lives with her compassion and dedication. She also cherished her role as a homemaker, creating a warm and loving home for her family.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn Funeral Home. Funeral Service with be Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
