

September 7, 1951 – January 7, 2018
After a fierce and courageous battle with cancer, Erasmo Alfredo Lewis, Al, passed away on January 7, 2018, at the age of 66. He was an Irvin HS Graduate & served his country in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne Division, earned a Mechanical Engineering degree at UTEP and spent his last 15-yrs working at Hill AirForce Base, in Layton, Utah. Alfred loved riding his Harley-Davidson through the mountains, an avid fisherman, and treasured his hikes in the Wasatch Mountains. Most importantly, the Wise Al, loved his Family & was full of information, perspective, opinions and made sure you knew what was on his mind. One of his original favorite Quotes was: “Heavy, but cool...” His friends and family would say he was strong-willed, funny and someone you could always depend on. We are grateful for the unlimited memories. May you rest in peace, Al. Alfred proceeded in death by his mother Alicia; Survived by his father, Erasmo; brothers and sisters, Tony (Angie), Sergio (Irene), Anna, Alice (Eddie), and Lorena; godsons Joseph and Joshua; nephews and nieces, Michael (Monica), Jeanette (Jesus), Erick, Valerie, Jennifer, Natalie, Cambria, Savannah, and Jared. Service is at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home at 8817 Dyer, on January 15 from 5 – 9pm, Rosary begins at 7pm. January 16, Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:30am and burial to follow at Ft. Bliss, 11am.
