Esperanza Garrett, born on September 13, 1930, in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 17, 2024. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Garrett, and is survived by her children: Sergio Rodriguez and wife Vicky, Ernesto Rodriguez, Lilly Stack and husband Ron, and Linda Garcia.
Esperanza’s grandchildren cherished her deeply as did her many friends at Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana.
Her life reflected Psalm 23; “The Lord is my Shepherd,” finding comfort and strength in her faith as she walked through life’s joys and challenges. Known for her loving spirit and good sense of humor, Esperanza’s unwavering faith and joyful outlook will forever inspire those who knew her.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6
A visitation for Esperanza will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana, 1212 N Stevens St., El Paso, TX 79903.
A Devotional will occur Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N Resler Dr, El Paso, Texas 79912.
An interment will occur Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, New Mexico 88008.
