Estela was born to Guillermo and Guadalupe Villescas on September 18, 1934. On July 22, 1951 she married Manuel Portillo. They were married for 68 years. They are survived by daughters Virginia (“Tiny”) Ruiz (Joe). Veronica Gomez (Mike). Sons Antonio Portillo, Arturo Portillo (Helen), Jorge Portillo (Maria), Salvador Portillo and Pablo Portillo.
She is preceded in death by her son Rudy Portillo, daughter Katherine Portillo and granddaughter Erica Katherine Portillo and brother Raymundo Villescas.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Sharing in our sorrow is her sisters Elvira Acosta, Irene Villescas, and Pat Villescas and brothers Gonzalo Villescas and Victor Villescas.
Estela was a teacher’s assistant for 20 years with Head Start and was a member of the Altar Society at Blessed Sacrament Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday March 16, 2020 from 5pm to 9pm with a 7pm Rosary at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer St. El Paso, TX 79904. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 9:30am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9025 Diana, El Paso TX, 79904. Committal Service will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 10:30pm
God was to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
