“Ita” Esther Perez, was a beacon of kindness and selflessness, a woman whose beauty radiated from her kind-hearted soul. Her life was a testament to love and care, as she consistently placed the needs and happiness of others above her own. Esther Perez, studied and graduated from the University of Mexico with a Biology Major, where she met her husband, Efren Perez. From her humble beginnings, she faced numerous challenges, yet she emerged as a resilient wife, mother, and matriarch, holding her family together with unwavering strength and love. She enjoyed poetry, painting, music and dancing. For Ita, family was paramount. She was a loving wife and she and her husband had just celebrated their 57th anniversary in Dec 2023. She dedicated herself to providing stability, showering her husband, sons, and later her grandchildren, with boundless love, affection and attention. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, as she possessed an innate ability to understand their quirks and make them feel cherished. As a grandmother, she was the epitome of warmth and generosity, a source of endless joy for those fortunate enough to experience her love. Her face would light up with happiness at the sight of her family gathered together, their laughter and togetherness filling her heart with fulfillment. Yet, Ita's love extended beyond her immediate family. She welcomed extended family members and friends with open arms, treating them all with the same kindness and love she bestowed upon her own kin. Children, in particular, held a special place in her heart, and she made it her mission to ensure each child felt loved and valued. Despite not having experienced the love of nurturing parents herself, Ita's upbringing only fueled her determination to be the most loving and understanding figure in the lives of her own children and grandchildren. Guided by the support of a caring aunt, she blossomed into the epitome of unconditional love, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. In Ita, we found not just a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend but a source of boundless love and understanding, a shining example of the power of kindness and compassion.
