He had a heart full of joy, love and laughter, a silly laugh and even a heart that danced. A man of faith and courage. His smile was contagious. Always ready to have a good time. He lived his life to the fullest with no regrets. One day at a time! He gave mom strength after dad passed. Family was his priority. He always lend a helping hand to everyone. He worked with his hands.
His love for his children was deep and immense. He attracted kids to him because he was a kid at heart. A sweet hearted man! He was to begin a married life with his true love Martha, but it was cut too short. They were a pair together. She brought joy to his heart as to ours. Lastly, we remember his deep love for baseball. BOY! did he shine and will always. Final word Gene was a proud fan of the Washington Redskins! Forever in our hearts! We love you, Gene
Eugene is survived by his loving fiancé Martha Lopez; his children Brenden Forti, Daniela Forti,and Madison Forti; his mother Irene Forti; his brothers and sisters Mike Forti, Dino Forti, Mark Forti, Virginia Perez, JoAnn Valenzuela, Betsy Acuna, Rosanne Shiltz, Lisa Rocha, and Irene Barnes.
Eugene was preceded in death by his father Mickey Forti.
A visitation for Eugene will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79936. A vigil service will occur Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79936. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St Stephen Catholic Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, Texas 79936. A graveside service will occur Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
Serving as pallbearers are Dino Forti, Mark Forti, Brenden Forti, Gerardo Lopez, JC Noyles II, Nathan Forti, David Acuna Jr and Steven Forti.
