Eugene W. Myers

Eugene William Myers passed away at age 96 on Thursday, January 4, 2024 after a long and full life. Gene was born to Namon and Oma Myers on June 21, 1927 and grew up on a farm with his five sisters and two brothers. After serving for the U.S. Army in Japan, he began working for the El Paso Electric Company where he retired in 1989. Gene believed in hard work, honesty, and the value of a handshake. He enjoyed spending his free time golfing, fishing, hunting, bowling, and dancing the night away with his wife Sandra.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Sandra Myers, his children Steven, Charla, & Vonda and Sandras children Keith, Brian, Kevin, Craig & Pam. He was a proud grandparent to many Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren. Gene is preceded in death by his late wife of 40 years, Charlotte Earleene Myers (d.1988)

A celebration of life for Eugene will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. Following the celebration of life will be a committal service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
