Mama Eva was born to Juan and Guadalupe Mora on November 23, 1918, in El Paso, Texas. She grew up in Santa Barbara Chihuahua, Mexico where she met the love of her life, Godofredo Faudoa. They got married soon after and moved to El Paso, Texas to raise their family. They raised six children together, Hugo, Rosa, Godofredo Jr. (Martha), Lupe (Carlos), Armando (Sheri), and Ceci (Efren).
Her family has quadrupled in size since then and she still managed to find more love in her heart. Mama Eva was always grateful when her nieces or nephews, and grandchildren (of all generations) would visit. Even a simple phone call would make her day. She loved and prayed for each person in her family and always had her door open to anyone in need. Her devotion to God led her to a life filled with love and instilled that same love into her family. She did this through the word of God. Mama Eva was an avid reader and knew the bible from Genesis to Revelation. If you needed guidance she was there for you. For over forty years she held weekly bible classes in her home to help guide those who needed prayer, reassurance, or a shoulder to cry on.
In the last five years, Mama Eva's elderly life was made easier through the help of Vanessa Pena. Vanessa Pena was Mama Eva's care provider, but she was more than that, she was family. She loved and cared for her like her own family. We are all very grateful for the devotion she had towards Mama Eva. Thank you for all that you did, Vanessa.
Mama Eva lived a long and happy life. She survives through her friends and family love. She is now at rest with her creator. Thank you for being a "Mama Eva" to everyone, we will miss you dearly. We love you.
