I will never be “no more”. I will never be lost because I will be with the One who saves me. (Author Ravi Zacharias)
Feliciano (Felix) Sandoval, 81, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, November 14, 2020 after recovering from a stroke and passing from COVID-19. He was born on February 11, 1939 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and lived in El Paso, Texas for 47 years.
Our dad was a God fearing man, who dedicated his life to serving God and others. His smile lit up a room and his kind heart always found a way to encourage others, especially those in need. He was an incredible example of Christ which exemplified his heart for others, as a husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather/great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
His unique outlook on life and situations allowed for tons of laughter and creative ways of “ fixing" things. Duck tape was a good friend of his, even for car repairs. There was never a shortage of stories to hear about back in the day, even if he embellished a little to add more suspense and laughter. His jokes were witty and just the right amount of dad jokes (even if we didn’t understand them). A daily response when we asked, how are you, was “I’m better than I deserve”. Without a doubt he is “better” now that he is in his Saviors arms.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Estefanita Sandoval, along with siblings Christian (Jr.), Max, Irene, Mela.
He is survived by his wife Carlotta and his children Cynthia(Joel), Jacque, Quentin(Christy). His much loved grandchildren, Alyssa Marette, Andrea Lizette, Dallas Joel, Skylar Quinn, Quentin(Q) Toby, and great-grandson Jonah Joal. His siblings Jolly, Henry (Christine), Navor, Juanita, Phillip (Margie) and Edward (Victoria) along with several nieces and nephews.
He was a proud US Navy Veteran who served from 1959 - 1963.
A salesman by heart, brought success to his several places of employment including being self-employed. His love for people, a servant heart coupled with his work ethics was shown in all he did.
He served in ministry as a deacon and treasurer at First Spanish Baptist (Albuquerque), a deacon and teacher for 46 yrs at Iglesia Bautista Hispana (El Paso) along with pastoring several church starts. He enjoyed driving the church bus/van to pick up members and guests for over 20 years. He loved leading, teaching and serving his church and community.
One of his favorite hymns was “I Love To Tell The Story” and he did. He wanted everyone to know of the love that he found in Jesus and would tell anyone he could. A favorite scripture was Romans 14:8 - If we live, we live to honor the Lord; and if we die, we die to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
Dad, you impacted so many lives in this world, some of which we are unaware of the ripple effect of your beautiful kind heart. Thank you for leading us so well.
You will be forever missed.
We love you.
