

Frankie Lynne Barnes, age 85, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A cherished resident of Canutillo, TX. Frankie dedicated her life to making a house a home for her husband and children. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love were evident in every corner of her life. She had a profound passion for animals, welcoming any creature that came her way, even skunks! Her garden was her sanctuary, where she spent countless hours tending to each flower with care and devotion. Frankie had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, capturing hearts with her warmth and humor. She could make anyone laugh, and even in her final moments, she had us smiling with her playful comments about her doctors. Her giving nature and kind heart knew no bounds, always eager to help those in need. Frankie’s love for shopping at Kohl's, exploring garage sales, and thrifting brought her joy and excitement especially when shopping for someone other than herself. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met, often leaving them with a huge smile. Her love felt like a warm, comforting hug, enveloping all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Troy Barnes; her parents, Francis and Nellie Watkins; her brothers, William Watkins, Murray Watkins, and Ray Perkins; and her son, Richard Gray. Frankie leaves behind her daughter Vicki (Mark) Ivey and son David (Lori) Gray. Her legacy continues with her four grandchildren: Michael (Nicole) Lane, Brad (Andrea) Lane, Christopher Lane, and Cheyanne Ivey. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Jayden, Addison, Scarlett, Luna, and Cameron. She leaves behind special niece Mary Slawson along with numerous nieces and nephews. As well as sisters-in-law Pat Belki and Judy Watkins. Frankie’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Rod & Dina Noperi and Diana Billingslea for their unwavering love and support for our beloved mom and grandma.
Services to celebrate Frankie’s life will be August 19th , 2024, at Martin Funeral Home East from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. A scripture service will be led by Deacon Bejarano. Burial will be held at Restlawn Cemetery at 12:30pm.
