Frances A. Mendoza
February 20, 1933 – October 6, 2026
With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of our beloved Frances A. Mendoza, who entered eternal rest on October 6, 2026, at the age of 93.
Born and raised in San Elizario, Texas, Frances lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, tia, and friend whose love touched generations.
Frances found joy in life’s simple pleasures, from knitting and working on word searches to playing Gin Rummy and enjoying trips to the casino. She loved showing her affection through cooking for her family and occasionally treating herself to a Blue Hawaiian. Above all, she treasured her family and many friends, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will be cherished for generations.
Frances is survived by her three children, Ernest Mendoza (Esther), Gilbert Mendoza (Tina), and Valerie Sanchez (Rick); 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and her three siblings, Nati, Sammy, and Corrina. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She is reunited in heaven with her parents, Ricardo and Romanita Aguirre; her beloved husband, Carlos Mendoza; her sons, Charlie Mendoza and Frank Mendoza; her grandson, Gilbert Mendoza Jr.; and her siblings Ricardo Aguirre, Yolanda Aguirre, Luz Bejarano, and Eloisa Robledo. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that the love she gave will never leave us. Her recipes, her laughter, her favorite pastimes, and the countless moments spent together will remain precious reminders of a life so beautifully lived. At 93 years old, Frances leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured in years, but in the family she nurtured, the love she shared, and the memories that will continue to bring comfort for generations to come. She was deeply loved, will be forever missed, and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Her hands may no longer knit, her meals may no longer fill the table, but the love she poured into her family will continue to bind us together forever.
Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully in God’s loving arms. Your love will remain with us always.
