

CARLOS, FRANCISCO ANTONIO entered everlasting life on October 3, 2010. Tony was born in El Paso on June 2, 1945 to Francisco E Carlos and Adela Armendariz Carlos. He graduated from Burges High School in 1964 and joined the United States Marine Corps. He served with the 3rd Tank Battalion, 3rd Marine Division in Vietnam from June 1966 until July 1967 achieving the rank of Lance Corporal.
On July 15, 1967, he married his high school sweetheart, Genell Paonessa. He graduated from UTEP with a BS in Criminal Justice. He was retired from DPS with 34 years of service as Communications Supervisor for Highway Patrol and Supervisor for B.A.T.I.C. He then retired from the Texas Air National Guard as a MSGT after 24 years of combined military service where he was Superintendent of the 204th Security Police Squadron.
Proceeded in death by his father, Francisco E. Carlos, and in-laws, Samuel M. and Nellie L. Paonessa. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Gennell Carlos, mother, Adela Carlos, daughter and son-in-law, Kris and Scott May, son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Becky Carlos, grandsons, Kyle May and Cash Carlos. Sisters and their spouses, Connie and Jesse Williamson, Margie and Jaime Chavez, Rosie and Ricardo Armendariz, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2709 Alabama Avenue at 8:30 am with burial to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 10:00 am with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Stinnett, Jaime Chavez, Jr., Scott May, Anthony Carlos, Jason Stinnett, and Jess Stinnett. Honorary pallbearers are Jesse Williamson, Jaime Chavez, Sr., Al Chacon, and Ricardo Armendariz.
