Georgia Adele Lambrecht died on Friday, February 24, 2023 in El Paso, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents Katherine and Alford Ross, also of El Paso. She is survived by her sons Richard Lambrecht, Jr of El Paso and Christopher Lambrecht (Stephanie) of Spring, TX and her grandchildren Ryan, Collin and Mason. She is also survived by her sister Palma Lynn Liebert (Tom) of Holmdel, NJ and nephew John Andrew (Tiffany) and great niece and nephew Evelyn and William. Georgia was a remarkable person and a high achiever. She graduated in the top 10% of her class in 1965 from Stephen F Austin High School in El Paso. She was in the National Honor Society and various other clubs. Following graduation she attended Texas Western College and concurrently took classes in Russian language and culture at New Mexico State University. She ultimately earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1976 while raising two young boys. She became an educator and taught for nearly 40 years in El Paso, Germany and Japan. She loved living and teaching overseas and had so many wonderful stories from her time there. She enjoyed plants and gardening. Georgia won the Jr. Sweepstakes in Horticulture at the 34th Annual Flower Show in 1959 with a prize of a $25 savings bond. She became a Master Gardner in 1981 in the first group of Master Gardners in El Paso County. Music was a passion of Georgia’s from a very young age. She played piano recitals in elementary school and was in the choir and band in high school. She was first chair flute and was band sweetheart her senior year. She played in the El Paso Symphony and taught flute lessons to many students across the city. She created a flute club at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church that included all levels of musicians. Georgia brought music to the students in her classroom, her own children and her grandchildren. Her legacy to those who have known her will be her passion for education, culture and music. Georgia loved her family and that is evident in the way she has raised her sons to be people that show kindness and respect toward others. Her influence will forever live on in her grandsons. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. Public Visitation will be at Hillcrest Funeral Home West from 5-8pm on Thursday, March 2. A Prayer Service will be held at 10am on Friday, March 3 with a Graveside to follow at Memory Gardens 11:30am.
