Gerardo, fondly known as Tito, was born to Lola Camacho on August 25, 1940 in El Paso, Texas. Tito was a well-respected businessman, active member of the community, devoted catholic, State of Texas Silver Haired Legislature Representative, and a Knights of Columbus Honorary Life Member. To those he left behind, he was so much more. He was “Dad”, “MR. C”, “Grandpa & Gramps”, the pillar of our family, the epitome of a family man and the glue that kept us all together. He loved the holidays because it was always a time for family gatherings, love and lots of laughter. They also reminded him of his beloved wife, Maria. His heart of gold touched all those he met, and his legacy will continue on through his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Though we are saddened by his loss, we know that he is with the Lord, watching over us all, waiting till the day we meet again.
Tito is survived by his loving children Gerardo Camacho Jr., Patricia C. Guillen (Carlos Guillen), Lisa Parra (Arturo Parra), and Isabel Peña (Gabriel Peña). Grandchildren; Andre Camacho, Adrian Camacho, Vanessa Salazar, Lorraine Garcia, Angela Ayala, Javier Ortega Jr., Jolissa Acosta, Michael Ortiz, Ashley Ortiz, Samantha Peña, Serena Peña, Gabriel Peña, Santino Peña and nine beautiful great-grandchildren.
Tito is preceeded in death by his mother Lola Camacho, wife Maria Camacho, brother Antonio DeLeon and son Louie Rey Camacho.
