Gilberto Antonio Dominguez, 86, lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas passed away on February 16, 2014. He was preceded in death by parents, Antonio and Mauricia “Licha” Dominguez, and brother, Luis “Chito” Dominguez. He is survived by wife of 62 years, Martha and daughter, Martha Morales (Charlie) ; son, Oscar G. Dominguez (Patti) ; son Luis X Dominguez; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters Toni Duron, Delia Silva, Luisa Estrada, many nieces and nephews.
He was an Army MP in THE Korean War. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from Texas Western College. His career in the El Paso Public Schools included Speech Therapist, Assistant Principal of Vilas School and Principal of Highland School for Special Needs. He was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church as a lector and member of the Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 12:30 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 400 W. Sunset Rd. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
