I have great memories of times with Gloria. I’ve loved sharing her birthday dinner for several years at The Black Pearl. She loved going there. We roasted hotdogs and have had cheese and wine while in Arizona. Gloria was my first wire wrap teacher and she was an excellent instructor. We shared concerts, parades, and painting. She was President of the rock club when my husband and I joined. She trusted me to take over the vendor dinner from her. But most of all I will remember the big hug she gave me when she left AZ this year. There will be a missing smile here next year and she will be greatly missed. 

Beautiful service today. My best memory was of a time I was taking a class at your house in Jemison. I went to use the restroom and there was a sticky note on the mirror that said “I love our life together”. To this date I think that is the most romantic thing I’ve ever seen! True love in action! God Bless. Gloria was an amazing person! I will miss her. 

I loved her so.  My flowers we exchanged are on full bloom.  She was a blessing and a good friend and neighbor. She will be truly missed.    We love you both 

Just a month ago Gloria grabbed us as we were leaving Walmart in Parker.  And a couple of days later we were having pizza together in Quartzite. It was such a fun night. I’m grateful that we had that time together.  I think my favorite memory of Gloria, though, was after Steve and Gloria used my tickets to NQC last year.  They both had really liked it. I walked into the cafeteria at school and Gloria told me “you’re my favorite person today - but don’t tell Steve  because he’s always my favorite person”.  She was such a sweet lady. 

I met Gloria when she was hired at Blue Cross.  First impression was that she was VERY pregnant!  She was also very smart, professional, hard-working, and kind.  We were a small and close-knit group supporting Medicare, and those days laid the foundation for a long-term friendship.   I will always cherish our talks about family, faith, and friendship, both in the early years when we were both finding our way, and post retirement at our monthly dinner group gatherings.  I will miss Gloria’s presence, smile and laughter.  My heart aches for Steve and the rest of her precious family.  Until we meet again.  💕

I grew up in church (St. Mark's Methodist in Montgomery) with Gloria.  She was a sweet girl and fun to be around.  I did not see her for many, many years and then I saw her twice in 2019, and we shared many memories of our youth.  What a joy to catch up with her after so many years.  She was the same sweet girl I remembered.  My prayers and sympathy to her family.  Kay Moseley Keeshan

Gloria holds a special place in my heart as she was the one who took the chance and hired me at BCBS as a Jr Programmer. Not only was she my first manager and showed me the ropes, but we developed a friendship that I will treasure forever. Blessings to you, Steve. I wish y’all could have had many more years together but I know  the ones you did were very special. 

Gloria and I became friends in junior high when her Dad became our minister.   She joined our little band of pseudo MYF angels that bonded in Christ and remained friends all these years.  I am profoundly grateful 7 of us had a reunion this summer in Montgomery-so many memories and laughs and even more blessings.  Steve, I am also grateful for the visits and times together you and Gloria shared with Mike and I.  Ah, Gloria, you impacted my life, were loved, and will be missed.

I only met Gloria once when she and Steve came to visit me in Pensacola.   But I've known Steve a long time and could see how special Gloria was to him, not only during their visit but following his posts on Facebook.  He loved traveling to find stones for her jewelry and was so proud of her talent.  This will make it hard for Steve to live without his "honey bunny" so we need to make sure he has our love and support. 

It was so much fun having this last month in Quartzsite with Gloria. We looked at rocks, had wiener roasts, celebrated her birthday and had a snack party. We also did  painting lessons .  We’ll all miss Gloria but I can still hear her sweet laughter!!
