Gloria Garcia Hernandez

Gloria G. Hernandez was called home peacefully on September 17, 2014 at the age of 58. She was a resident of Canutillo TX., born and raised in El Paso and a proud graduate of Jefferson High. Her employer was Time Warner Cable for over 30 yrs. Gloria was a dedicated Christian who belonged to Capilla Calvario Oeste. She was a proud member of the ABC Club who loved to be surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her spouse Ignacio Hernandez of 35 yrs. Her proudest accomplishments were her surviving children: Angel, Veronica, April, Gloria and Elizabeth. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who she considered her own. Gloria precedes the death of her father Tomas Garcia and surviving mother Ramona Figueroa. She was the eldest of her surviving siblings: Patricia, Tomas, Lilia, Silvia and Gary. She was the matriarch of the family aka “La Jefa” and will be deeply missed by all! Public Visitation will be held on Friday, Sep. 19 from 5:00pm-9:00pm with Scripture Service beginning at 7:00pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home West, 5054 Doniphan, El Paso, Texas 79932. Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, Sep. 20 at 9:00am at Hillcrest Funeral Home West. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 4900 McNutt Rd., Santa Teresa, NM 88008.
