Gloria G. Reade

On November 3, 2018, the beautiful and loving matriarch of our family, Gloria G. Reade, age 87, left this earthly world on angel’s wings to her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel M. Reade Sr. and son, Daniel M. Reade Jr. Also preceded in death by her mother, Blasa Nevarez and her siblings: Sal Nevarez, Art Nevarez, George Nevarez, Belia Valenzuela and her identical twin, Magdalena Linarte. Survived by her loving children, Dianne Beltran (Mike) and Dean (Tracy) Reade. Respected and loved dearly by her grandchildren, Michael Wayne Beltran (Jessica) and Trisha Rae Reade (Rebeca). Left to cherish her memory are her great grandchildren Braedon, Dalin, Marcus, Mason, Lexi, Aaliyah, Alyssah and Donaji. Gloria was survived by many dear in-laws and several nieces and nephews who fondly referred to her as, “Auntie Glo.” Gloria was a woman of phenomenal faith. Her prayer list was always filled with names of family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and participating in her parish activities over the years. While a parishioner at Our Lady of the Light Church, she was a member of the Woman’s club where she had been selected as, “Woman of the Year.” Gloria was a life time member of the Life-Study Fellowship and loyal contributor to the Corpus Christi Monastery of Perpetual Adoration. As a breast cancer survivor in remission for 28 years, she did volunteer work with the American Cancer Society, with patients diagnosed with breast cancer and recuperating from recent mastectomies. Your journey has not been easy. But your faith has never faltered and your loyal heart has never surrendered. You were and always will be our hope, our courage, and our inspiration. We will miss your strong will and protective warrior woman attitude of love and devotion to your family. Your memory will forever be indelibly imprinted in our hearts. Pall Bearers will be: Mike Beltran, Michael Beltran, Jesse Reade, Trisha Reade and Arturo Cordova and Orlando Cordova. Honorary pall bearers will be Mike Garcia Jr., Pete Reade, and Arthur Linarte. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-East. Dearest Dino, Diane and Family: Our prayers and deepest condolences to you and your family during this time. Your MOM was such a caring and loving person to all. I will truly "miss" our telephone conversations that we had over the past years. She was such a JOY in my life. She always asked one of my daughter's " How's the weather Heather feather" and I will always remember and cherish that saying. She is now in Heaven and at peace with the love of her life - "Danny".....May God Bless You and Yours Forever....
