Grace was my dear aunt,  as my brother Robert Burns said, our mother's sister.  Words cannot describe this wonderful woman.  She was and always will be very dear to me and I will always miss her.  She was super intelligent, so sweet, talented, generous, and loving.  We wrote each other, exchanged cards, and talked on the phone frequently.  She was an expert in needlework and I have so many beautiful handmade things of hers to remember her by.  May God bless her family and help them find peace in a very difficult time.

Our family has been friends with Grace for over 50 years. If you had a question about "anything and "everything" just call Grace and she had the answer!  she was well respected and will be sorely missed.  The McNeely Family.

Grace Flanagan was not just my "landlady" but became a friend to me.  I recently had a visit with her at Ben's home and she still amazed me with her memory of minute details! It  was that brilliant math mind of hers that enabled her to remember such detail. She never complained, always had time to listen to everyone and anyone. She made my life better knowing her and I hope in my small ways that I helped her too. She had a sweet tooth and always was happy when I had my  homemade baked goods to share with her. We exchanged cards thru the years and whenever she left a phone message it was always this is Grace.  Out of respect for her being my landlady and my upbringing she was always Mrs. Flanagan to me. RIP. You will be missed!

I had a 30 year friendship with Grace.  She was cherished by my daughters.  She was one on the most intelligent, caring and resourceful persons. She exemplified positive perseverance.I could depend on Grace whenever I got stuck with a circumstance that challenged me. She was always ready to help and was known for her skills and talents. She was a stellar teacher. She helped so many people with math. I used to joke with her and ask her how  many times she had passed algebra. She was never too busy to listen. Grace was truly amazing.  She had a bright smile even when things were not so good. I am a better person due to having her as my friend. I will miss her so much.

Prayers and sympathy to the Flanagan family on the home-going of your mother. She had been my Girl Scout Leader so many years ago.  When we would run into each other, she was always so kind and friendly.  Always with a smile.  God bless.

It was my privilege to have Grace as a friend for thirty years.  I could always count on Grace to help me when I'd get stuck or confused with a circumstance.  Grace was one of the most resourceful, intelligent, and caring people I have ever known.  She exemplified positive perseverance.  Grace was a stellar teacher; I used to kid her and ask, "How many times have you passed Algebra?"  Grace was most comfortable doing kind deeds for others.  I have many fond memories of precious times and the laughs and the conversations we shared.  Grace had a smile that could erase hurt.  She was truly a remarkable lady.  I will surely miss her.  I am a better person for having had this special friendship.

Grace Flanagan was a good friend to our family and we loved her dearly. She was always considered part of our family. We shared many stories over the years and enjoyed many holidays together. She had a good heart and always looked for the good in everyone, no matter what. We will miss her kindness and love.

Grace Alice Batla Flanagan was my aunt, my mother's sister both from the Batla family of Austin County, Texas.  Grace was married to Claiborne J. Flanagan, a US Army veteran who was a good guy. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Flanagan family.
