Gretchen A. Tobey

Never one to sit still she loved traveling anywhere, any time! She created beautiful pieces of cross stitch and repujado. She kept fit having fun at water aerobics and taking long walks. Gretchen relished her nightly ritual of meeting friends at the bench to watch the sunset. She nurtured her garden, beloved cats and relationships. Gretchen is survived by her adoring husband Ernie Tobey whom she married on January 1, 2001, and loving daughters Kim Don Sing and husband Gabe of Redmond, WA, Kelley Russell of Denver, CO, Kathleen Rojas and husband Rob of Garland, TX.; grandchildren Helen and Russell Don Sing,

Lance and Melissa Smith, Julia, Sophia and Annie Rojas. She is also survived by Ernie's son Michael Tobey of North Palm Beach, FL and his children, Summer, Jesse and Jonathan; daughter Jennifer Bailey and husband Tim of Washington, GA and their children Timmy, Nicole, Chloe, Emma and Mabel and Ernie's nephew Bill Jones and wife Tina of El Paso. She will be deepley missed. In lieu of flowers Gretchen asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4687 N. Mesa, El Paso, TX 79912. A special Mass will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 10 a.m. At St. Matthews Catholic Church, 400 W. Sunset Rd. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N.
