GUADALUPE RIOS URENDA, 89, passed away the morning of November 18, 2021 at Del Sol Hospital, in El Paso, Texas. She was born April 13, 1932 in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico. Daughter of Felix and Petra Rios. She resided in El Paso for over 60 years and was a member of the Catholic Church.
She was predeceased by her lifelong husband (Mi Vidita as she used to call him), Luis P. Urenda and also preceded by her grandson Juan D. Escontrias.
She is survived by her children, Martha Alicia (Juan) Escontrias, Jose Luis (Adriana N.) Urenda, Armando (Leticia J.) Urenda, Ricardo (Lorena I.) Urenda, Roberto (Bertha B.) Urenda, Irma Guadalupe (Rafael) Salcedo, Martin Urenda, Samuel (Sandra M) Urenda. 18 Grandchildren and 16 Great grandchildren.
Visitations will be Tuesday, November 30th from 5-9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, TX. 79915. Recitation of the Rosary will be recited by Deacon Ray Niblett at 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, December 1st at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester Rd. El Paso, TX. 79907. Pallbearers will be her sons: Jose Luis, Armando, Ricardo, Roberto, Martin and Samuel Urenda. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
