Gus “Jewsy” Casarez, 78, passed away June 2nd, 2018. Gus was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and was a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, class of May 1957. He retired from Circle K convenience stores after 37 years of service and dedication, where he was also a supervisor for 25 years. He also worked at the Bud (Budweiser) Store for 20 years. He is survived by his daughter, Lita Denise Sanchez; grandson, Christian Alexander; daughter, Arleen Dawn Casarez; granddaughter, Grace Terese; his beloved wife, Gloria; sister, Martha (Rene) Moreno; brother, Oscar (Angie) Casarez; and nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7th from 5pm-9pm with a vigil at 7pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 8th at 11:30am at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Interment will be held private with family. Services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home, 915-598-3332.
