A bouncing baby boy was born to Sylvia June Battle. She named
Him Harold Gene Williams. Gene received his education in the
Lorenzo Independent School District. After graduating from high
school, he proudly entered the United States Army, serving his
country with honor. At an early age, he accepted the Lord Jesus
Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Mount Pleasant Baptist
Church. After his military service, Gene married Darlene Reed,
and three children were born from this union: Harold Gene
Williams Jr. (“Little Gene”), Sheree Williams, and Lynette
Williams. In 1988, Harold relocated to El Paso, Texas, where he
met his life partner, Josie Loftus. He lovingly raised Josie’s four
children as his own. Gene was the proud owner and operator of
his own trucking company. Though he spent many hours on the
road, he treasured time with family above all else. Harold Gene
was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia June Williams,
