loved to learn but grazed livestock instead to make a living for his father and help his mother put food on the table. Later he became a laborer and eventually an expert bricklayer. At the request of his mother the family moved to Cd Juarez to seek out new opportunities. He worked in construction and laid bricks on many buildings still in existence today. While in Cd. Juarez, Hector became a minister with Iglesia de Jesucristo Apostólica Mexicana, where he met his wife Emma Castro. Together they raised 3 girls and 4 boys. They also went on to pastor a small group of christians that would become the congregation Revelación de Jesucristo. As pastor he built a church and a temple.
