December 28, 1956 – April 19, 2025
Henry Piñon, 68, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born in El Paso, Texas, on December 28, 1956, the fifth of eight siblings and the older half of a pair of twins.
Henry had a 44-year career in accounting, spending 36 of those years with El Paso Corporation. During that time, he also served in the U.S. Naval Reserves for six years. In 2001, he and his wife, Patsy, moved to Pearland, Texas, where he continued doing what he loved: working, watching every sport on TV (both the Houston Texans AND the Dallas Cowboys), and cracking one-liners that never missed. He also enjoyed taking his “baby”, his 1968 Mustang with custom plates “YSLETA” for a ride on Sundays.
He was a devoted husband to Patsy, a proud father to son Anthony (Tony) (grandchildren: Olivia and Genevieve) and son Robert, and a loving stepfather to Monica (Moni), Deborah (Debbie) , and Lorraine (Lorrie). He was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, always happiest when surrounded by family and friends and armed with new material.
He is survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings David, Pete, Mary, George (his twin), and Carmen. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Carmen Piñon, and his siblings Martha and Hector.
He was known for his dry wit, perfect timing, and the kind of humor that made you laugh whether you wanted to or not. He had many friends, and a large loving family, and always checked to make sure they were doing well. Our Henry was loved and will be greatly missed.
