Henry Potter

Henry "Mr. Wheels" Potter, 76, was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on July 12, 2026. Henry grew up in Socorro, Texas, where he had fond memories of his grandpa's farm, and where he met his wife and lifelong partner. He was happiest outside under the open sky, soaking in the bright heat of a summer day. Henry loved bringing smiles to those around him through his jokes. Although the punchline missed the mark most times, his laughter brought joy to those around him. If you spent enough time with Henry, you were bound to pick up his signature catchphrase -- "y luego?" He often used this phrase to break a long pause, inviting you to keep the conversation going. Henry faithfully opened his home to Bible study meetings, which led to the establishment of Iglesia Jezreel, his beloved church home. He served the Lord for many years, offering guidance and mentorship to young people fulfilling community service, helping them find a clearer path forward.

Henry leaves behind his beloved wife Julie Potter; children Nancy Hernandez (Joe), Elizabeth Calderon (Louis), and Henry Potter Jr.; grandchildren Sammy Ramirez Jr., Henry Angel Potter (Samantha), Alexis Miranda, Elijah Calderon, Isaiah Calderon, and Gia Calderon; great-grandchildren Kinzlee Potter and Capri Potter; and brothers David Potter (Shelly) and William Potter (Eva). Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Juanita Potter, sister Marie Holder, and brother Charlie Potter.

Though we mourn his absence, we hold fast to the eternal promise that we will be reunited with Henry one day -- joining Christ's followers in a place where sorrow, pain, and death are no more

Visitation for Henry will be Friday, July 31, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 N Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas, 79936. Services will conclude thereafter.

Henry "El Ruedas" Potter, de 76 años, fue recibido en los brazos de nuestro Padre Celestial el 12 de julio de 2026. Henry creció en Socorro, Texas, donde guardaba hermosos recuerdos de la granja de su abuelo y donde conoció a su esposa y compañera de toda la vida. Era más feliz al aire libre bajo el cielo abierto, empapandose del calor luminoso de un dia de verano. A Henry le encantaba sacarles una sonrisa a quienes lo rodeaban con sus chistes. Aunque la mayoría de las veces el chiste no hacia gracia, su risa traía alegría a todos a su alrededor. Si pasabas suficiente tiempo con Henry, era seguro que se te pegaría su frase característica: "¿y luego?". El usaba esta frase con frecuencia para romper un largo silencio, invitándote a continuar la conversación. Henry abrió fielmente las puertas de su hogar para reuniones de estudio bíblico, lo que llevó al establecimiento de la Iglesia Jezreel, su amado hogar espiritual. Sirvió al Señor durante muchos años, ofreciendo orientación y tutoría a jóvenes que cumplían con servicio comunitario, ayudándoles a encontrar un camino más claro hacia adelante.

Henry deja en vida a su amada esposa Julie Potter; sus hijos Nancy Hernandez (Joe), Elizabeth Calderon (Louis) y Henry Potter Jr.; sus nietos Sammy Ramirez Jr., Henry Angel Potter (Samantha), Alexis Miranda, Elijah Calderon, Isaiah Calderon y Gia Calderon; sus bisnietas Kinzlee Potter y Capri Potter; y sus hermanos David Potter (Shelly) y William Potter (Eva). A Henry le precedieron en muerte sus padres, Charley y Juanita Potter; su hermana Marie Holder y su hermano Charlie Potter.

Aunque lamentamos su ausencia, nos aferramos a la promesa eterna de que un día nos reuniremos con Henry, uniéndonos a los seguidores de Cristo en un lugar donde el dolor, el sufrimiento y la muerte ya no existen.
