Herbert Baker, 64, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on June 16th, 2025. He was born in Pohokee, Florida on February 20th, 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents Janie Mae Simon and Johnny Baker, and siblings Johnnie Mae, Ronald, Laverne, and Verdell. He was married to Gloria Baker on November 12, 2009. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church and served as an Evangelist at their congregation. Herbert’s passion was serving God. He is survived by his daughter Christine Passionette Baker, son Chivvaron Baker, siblings Carrie and Audrey Baker, grandchildren Armani Baker, Giavanni Jones, stepchildren Matthew, Wanda, Benny, Glory, Alberto, Rose, Donicca Sheikh, and Alfred Brown, nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Joe.
Unity Missionary Baptist Church will hold a Celebration of Life service on Wednesday, July 2nd at 4601 Maxwell Avenue in El Paso, Texas at 12 noon.
