On January 25th we lost a husband, a father and abuelo. Hilario Galvan Medina left for a new adventure while he slept. His 94 year-old earthly body was tired and weak after six years of dialysis. Now he will be able to eat what he likes and drink his fill of coke and coffee. He can indulge in his favorite past time of watching as many Dodgers and Red Sox's games as he wants with his eyes open or closed. Maybe he might be able to put in a good word and get them to the World Series. The downside is that he will not be with his wife of almost 64 years. He will miss his anniversary on February 1st. He has left behind his wife Eva and their children: Yvonne Zimmer (Barry), Sergio Medina (Bequi), Eduardo Medina (Alicia) all from El Paso, Texas and Eva Alicia Medina-Walker (Jeffrey) from Dallas, Texas. He will miss the graduations and marriages from his grandchildren: Alex, Aidan, Kensey, Maya, Grecia, Mar and Sebastian. Now he rests with his parents, brothers and sisters who got there before him. Comino, his faithful twelve year old Chihuahua, will miss taking naps with him. Until we meet again! Visitation will be on Friday, February 4th from 4-9 p.m. Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament on Saturday, February 5th at 12:00 p.m. followed by Graveside Service at 1:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
