He was born in EL Paso, Texas on March 7, 1972. He was an avid music lover and love to play the saxophone in the Bowie High School marching band and symphonic band.
He graduated from Bowie High School in 1990. He loved to cook, and he worked at several restaurants; Chelsea Street Pub, Village Inn, Las Mañanitas and later on he worked a few years at L& J's Cafe as a bartender. He then worked for 9 years as campus patrol at Coronado High School, which is where he fell in love with everything that had to do with law enforcement. He went to El Paso Community College where he earned his certificate of completion in the Texas Peace Officer Course. He was a police officer with the Socorro Police Department then transitioned into working under the Department of Homeland Security, working at the bridges between El Paso, Tx and Juarez, Chihuahua, MX.
Homero was preceded in death by his grandparents, Zacarias Hernandez & Maria Hernandez & his mother, Profesora Irma Hernandez Rodriguez. He is survived by his three children Gabriel Homero, Isaiah Zachary, and Desiree Aurora, and the mother of his three children Patricia Lopez. His sisters, Maria Ericka Alarcon (Gustavo) and Isihis Obdulia Hernandez; his girlfriend Marisela Hernandez. Homero also had two uncles, Isreal Reyes Hernandez (Maria), Manual Antonio Hernandez (Irene) and three aunts, Manuela Juarez (Blas+), Marta Luevano (Francisco Javier), and Rosa Valenzuela (Pedro). He was also blessed with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer St. El Paso, Tx. 79904.
