Hortensia Wilson, born on December 25, 1940, in Camargo, Chihuahua, and a longtime resident of El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at the age of 85.
Her life was defined by dedication, resilience, and a deep devotion to her family. Known for her strong values, quiet strength, and appreciation for life’s simple blessings, she touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her kindness, unwavering support, and gentle spirit leave a lasting legacy that will continue to live on through those she loved.
Hortensia was preceded in death by Fernando Monteros (1981) and Ronnie Wilson (2014); her parents Tito and Soledad Porras; her brother Gary Porras; and her sister Carolina Triolo, Great-granddaughter Zaylynn Rose Arras. She is survived by her three daughters: Maritza Schuler, Carolina Monteros, and Rebecca Campbell.
She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren:
• Chantal Schuler (Maritza)
• Crystal Ramos and Kimberly Ramos (Carolina)
• Jacquelyn Heredia and Bianca Monteros (Rebecca)
Her legacy continues through her great‑grandchildren:
Dominyck Schuler, Jacen Brown, Neveaha Quezada, Emerie Quezada, Elysian Trujillo, Psylus Trujillo, Azula Trujillo, Jovanni Oxendine, Xavier Birdine, and Adonis Lewis. She is also survived by her siblings Sergio Porras, Consuelo Arellano, Pilar Fellows, and Tito Porras, who carry forward the love, strength, and family bond they shared with her.
May eternal rest be granted unto her, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she find peace in the presence of God, and may her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in everlasting peace. Amen.

Services will be held at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936, US, on June 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm.
