Humberto Bautista, 90 years old died Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the hospital with his family by his side. Humberto was born July 30, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to Feliciano and Delfina Bautista. Humberto was 1 of 14 children. Humberto attended El Paso High School, then enlisted into the U.S Marines in 1951. Humberto served his country proudly on the front line of the Korean War. In 1951 he married his childhood sweetheart Jo-Ann Louise Miller. Humberto spent over 20 years working for the U.S Immigration and Naturalization services from which he retired in 1983. After retiring from INS, he got his GED and began working for EPISD as a security guard at Morehead Middle School for 20 years. He was a devoted, loving and supportive father, grandfather and husband. He is preceded by his wife, Jo-Ann Bautista and his grandsons, Sean and Heath Bautista. He is survived by his younger sister, Olga Santos, his three children, Beto Bautista (Becky), Bill Bautista (Carol) and Aileen Mandujan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Bautista, Joel Bautista, Jackie Bautista, Ryan Walker and Matthew Walker as well as three great-grandchildren, Cora, Benjamin, and Bryslin Jo. He will be greatly missed.
