

Irma M. Chavira was called home on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the young age of 70. Mrs. Chavira is preceded in death by her parents Felipe and Mercedes Medina. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Eugenio L. Chavira. She is also survived by her daughters, Sandra C. Baumhardt (Donnie), Gina C. Jimenez (Paul), grandson Paul Edward Jimenez Jr., granddaughters Raissa Anai Jimenez and Elina Jimenez, sisters Corina Molinar, Dolores Medina, Melanie Reyes, Susana Medina, Noemi Orozco, Cecilia Medina, brothers Marco Medina and Valente Medina, numerous nieces and nephews. Honored pallbearers for Mrs. Chavira will be Marco Medina, Valente Medina, Paul Molinar, Donnie Baumhardt, Paul E. Jimenez, and John Gene Soto. Mrs. Chavira was a lifelong resident of El Paso and in her early years was a violinist. She was a great conversationalist and enjoyed many genres of music, movies and art. She was a wonderful and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and is already greatly missed. Our family would like to extend gratitude and a heartfelt thank you to the outstanding and compassionate staff at Regent Care Center. Visitation: 5:00 to 9:00 pm Monday, November 16, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass: 9:00 am Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
