Irma Silva

She was born in 1937 to Mercedes and Guillermo Tinajero in Ciudad Camargo, Chih. Mexico. Irma had an extended and loving family throughout Camargo, Ciudad Juarez, and El Paso Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hector Silva and sister, Ernestina Garcia. Irma is survived by her children and their families: Hector (Magdalena), Sergio, Fernando (Sylvia), Alfonso (Sonia), Alma (Jose), Adalberto (Rosalba), and Omar (Maggie). She was the loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Irma was the guiding light and inspiration to many people whose lives she touched.

She lived most of her adult life in El Paso Texas and worked in the garment industry. Irma was very active in the Senior Companion program and received several awards from this organization.

Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home West with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Saint Jude Catholic Church at 12:00 pm. Cremation will take place at a later date.
