Jackie W. Baize

October 1, 1933 - March 23, 2017

Jack Baize (Papa) age 83 was called home to be with his lord Jesus Christ and was welcomed into heaven by many loved ones.

Jack was born and raised in central Texas. He graduated from Gatesville Texas High School. Upon graduation he was drafted into the U. S. Army and served at Fort Bliss in El Paso Texas.

Jack lived and worked in Texas and New Mexico over his lifetime. He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture for over 40 years. Jack called La Union New Mexico home. His favorite pastime for many years was riding horses with his late dear friend Bud Dowd.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Frankie Baize (Mimi). Jack provided many years of loving care to her before her passing. He was also preceded in death by his parents James Raymond and Willie Faye Baize and sister Bobbie Baize.

Those left to mourn Jack’s passing are his brother Kenneth Baize and his family from east Texas. His son Wayne Baize (Melanie), daughter Jackie Baize Sloan (Bobby) and grandchildren Bobby Baize, Bode Baize (Angela), Wade Baize, Paige Baize, Stacey Sloan and James Sloan (Zetdi). All of Jack’ s loved ones have a lifetime of memories of their Papa. The family is so blessed to have had him in their lives for so many wonderful years.

The family wishes to thank Mesilla Valley Hospice (La Posada) in Las Cruces New Mexico for care and compassion. The family requests that any remembrance of Jack be given to Mesilla Valley Hospice.

There will be a private family service.
