James "Jim" Whitworth

James Nixon Whitworth, 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in El Paso. He was a longtime resident of El Paso. Mr. Whitworth was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the owner of West Texas Textiles. He was a member and past president of The Kiwanis Club of El Paso. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine A. Whitworth, parents, James Otto (J.O.) and Wilma Whitworth, sister, Ottomo Whitworth Grosclose and brother, Lavoy Whitworth. Survived by his daughter, Laura Rae Whitworth and close friends, Ann Bolte, Leroy Pearson, Fernando Bustamante, Jodie Porter Brown, Meloni & Ed Puishes and Sandra & David Taylor. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 12:00-12:30pm, with a Memorial service to follow at 12:30 pm at Martin Funeral Home West. 128 N. Resler El Paso, TX 79912.
