Janis Elaine Wilkinson went to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ on January 9th, 2022. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert ‘Ted’ Wilkinson. Janis was born in Illinois on April 7th, 1940 to her loving parents Walter and Janis Keillor. She was preceded in death by them.
Her life’s journeys brought Janis to the place that she would call home for so many years, El Paso, Texas. There she and Ted found true happiness building a community of friends, in faith. Throughout the years this church family became a constant source of love and spiritual support. Especially in recent years, as Janis took on the role of caregiver for the love her life, Ted. Janis had a genuine and nurturing spirit. She welcomed all who came into her home with open arms and a bowl of candy.
Janis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She will always be remembered with affection by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her beautiful children, Melody Faith Krapf (Sherri); Chrystal Rae Osier (Gary); Mark Conrad Jones (Bettina); and April Marie Eix (John). Her cherished grandchildren, Jana, Kimberly, Victor, Christina, Amanda, and Jacob. And her precious great grandchildren, Alex, Eli, Amy, Victor, and Gray. She is also survived by her siblings Barbara Cassity (Richard); Phillis Glenn (Roger); Bruce Keillor (Jean); Marilyn Stewart (Dorian); Kathleen Keillor (Lauren); as well as her many nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
