

With profound sadness and deep sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Jeanne Hatten, who peacefully left us on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 12:22 PM. Jeanne was a beacon of light, love, kindness, and strength, whose unwavering devotion to her family and community touched the lives of all who knew her.
Born on November 27, 1932, Jeanne lived a life full of compassion, resilience, love and grace. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend always placing the needs of others before her own. Her fiery spirit, sense of humor, joy for life and generous heart were felt by everyone around her, and her legacy of love and care will continue to inspire us.
Jeanne’s love for her family was unmatched, always putting her children, husband, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s needs above her own. She lived her life for her family. Her warmth and wisdom were a guiding light to her family, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert E. Hatten Sr. and Sister Marie Rose Hodge. She is survived by her sister Helene Wilford, her children Carolyn Hatten-Kissick, Robert E. Hatten Jr., Sissi Lane and her husband David E. Lane, John P. Hatten, Monique F. Hatten and her husband Alfredo Gomez, her grandchildren, Casey J. Lane, Ryan P. Kissick, Timothy Hatten, Brandon A. Hatten-Gomez, Tyler R. Hatten-Gomez, Alexis Hatten, Paige N. Hatten-Gomez, and great-grandchildren Mercedes R. Lane, Paris F. Lane, and Leela Lane, who will forever cherish the memories and love she gave so freely. The sun shined brighter because of her presence. Missed with a grief beyond tears, Jeanne was a beautiful soul who touched everyone with special love and kindness.
A celebration of Jeanne Hatten's life will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 9:00 AM at Martin funeral Home East, followed by Graveside Service at 11:00 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In Loving Memory of a Cherished Mother, Wife, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother – today, she dances with angels. Dear mother, though our hearts are broken, your love and memory will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in Heaven’s Glory.
