Jim and I are here for you Verna.  So very sorry for your loss.  Never got the pleasure to meet your husband but I saw the spark in your beautiful eyes and felt the love between the two of you when ever you spoke of him. Never let that go.

Verna, I am sorry I couldn't be there today.  I know the rest of our family is with you..sharing fond memories of a wonderful friend, husband and person. Jerry left a lasting impression on many. I feel fortunate to have spent many a time in high school witnessing great feats of "four-wheeling".  I feel even more fortunate to have been reunited in later years. Jerry will b in my heart for ever....he was my first friend in El Paso at age 7...went to school and shared classes together...he was a great artist as hisother is...jerry did everything he told me...such as the love of his life Verna.....jerry and I...as i owned a 4+4 shop for 25 years...traveled tbe country for years fulfilling our dream racing a pro Monster truck..Extreme Whiplash 1500. Horse  plus blown  alcohol injeted  awsome truck....Jerry always told me he would build one ...and he and I sure did....he was amazing....what a dream i was part of that he made happen...i have many more mories as we had a life time of friendship that most people never have..i love you Jerry...im in no hurry to see you...lol..but i will ..

hi jerry, it's brady hughes. i just wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family right now. but, i guess you know that. i could remind you of some story from our years as classmates, but, that would be so, well...school-ish. it's the many hours that we spent, as boys, riding our dirt bikes in the desert, and pushing them to the very limits of their designs. we used to love riding out to boozers and catching big air off the huge clay and dirt berms that had been turned into a motocross track of sorts, in the otherwise hard rocky terrain at the foot of the mountain, under the watchful gaze of the thunderbird. though we'd both be late for dimmer, much to our mums despair, neither of us would consider leaving without taking one last jump, until there was just enough light to make it the several miles home, riding full throttle. behind us, the shadow of the mountain loomed. in front, the magnificent desert sunset beaconed us home. those times we shared together were what kept us connected throughout the years, and we talked about them the last time i saw you at pelicans in el paso. it was around christmas time in the early '90's. i remember the smile on your face, when i finally admitted, that you always jumped your bike a little bit higher, and that it was everything i could do to keep up with you, so i didn't fall behind, and eat your rocks and dirt, on those long rides home into the magnificent sunset. so now, all these years later, i'm behind you as you ride into the magnificent sunset. i will look forward to seeing that smile again some day, when i make it home

My memories of Jerry are mainly from high school. The Friday and Saturday nights spent 4-wheeling and comparing trucks and what upgrades we would do for the following weekend.  He was always a great person to be around. Rest In Peace Jerry, until we see you again.

Jerry and I were best friends..we spent countless hours together working on his challenger..talking about life experiences.. Jerry I love you!  My heart is hurting but thank God it's full of memories of spending time together!!
